Suppliers play an important role in the SaarGummi value chain. Our company has established General Terms and Conditions of Purchase, which define the basic requirements that suppliers must comply with. These terms and conditions are an integral part of any purchase order.

This document sets out the obligations and responsibilities of contractors when performing work on the premises of SaarGummi Slovakia, Ltd. Suppliers are obliged to ensure health and safety at work, comply with the principles of occupational safety and equip their workers with personal protective equipment. Contractor workers must wear workwear marked with the supplier’s logo and comply with all regulations regarding fire protection, handling of flammable liquids and waste separation.
The main obligations of contractors:
Move only in defined workplaces and spaces.
Complete initial training in the field of environmental management and occupational safety.
Ensure the passability of roads and access to fire extinguishers.
Comply with the smoking ban and regulations on the use of open flames.
Dispose of waste from materials and raw materials at their own expense.
Maintain order and cleanliness in the workplace.

This Code of Conduct for Suppliers defines the basic requirements that SaarGummi’s suppliers must comply with in general and in their dealings with SaarGummi. The main purpose of this Code is to promote ethical, socially and environmentally conscious business practices at all stages of the supply chain worldwide.
Working conditions and human rights
The contractor must adhere to high standards that ensure a fair, respectful and safe working environment for all employees. This includes a ban on child labour, fair wages and benefits, respect for working hours and annual leave, a ban on forced labour and modern slavery, respect for health and safety standards, freedom of association and collective bargaining, and non-discrimination and protection from harassment.
Business Ethics
The supplier must conduct its business in an ethical manner and with absolute respect for the applicable anti-corruption laws. This includes prohibiting corruption, extortion and bribery, protecting privacy and data, complying with fair competition and antitrust laws, and ensuring internal processes for reporting violations of the Code.
Environment and responsible procurement
The supplier must conduct its business in a sustainable manner, with respect for the environment and respect for the resources in the communities in which it operates. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, controlling and treating wastewater, monitoring and reducing emissions to air, sustainable resource management and waste reduction, responsible handling of chemicals, and responsible sourcing of raw materials.
Supplier management
The supplier must enforce obligations similar to those set out in this Code of Conduct towards its own suppliers. This document must be signed by a duly authorized person of the Supplier and returned to SaarGummi within 15 working days of its receipt.
